Thursday Thoughts: Love

For this episode of Thursday Thoughts 5 randomly selected (love) quotes were shown to 5 individuals (myself included). Each person was then asked if they agree, disagree, or believe there is a gray area to the message. Who's thoughts do you relate to the most?
Person 1: "For the most part I absolutely agree. If you have no kids, or other familial obligations such as marriage, I say run, run like there's no tomorrow into the 2nd persons arms. Because I believe that is where your heart is...however if the former is true, there is much more to consider. In this case I say stay put a little longer, weigh things out. If there is even the slightest pullback. Remain where you are a little longer. Either you will come to your senses, or you will quickly realize you're miserable. At this point, you'll be in a different mindset (fuck it mode) and you will just make whatever obligations work in a new way. If you don't reach fuck it mode, I won't judge you. Just go and put Luther Vandross on repeat "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with."
Person 2: "I disagree, because sometimes the relationship is still there. It could be a time period where there is a struggle, but that doesn't necessarily mean you are out of love with the person. It does, however, make it easier for someone else to make an entrance."
Person 3: "I somewhat agree. It could also be the 80/20 rule. Meaning, You will never find someone who is 100% of everything you want in a partner. No one is perfect. However, most people do find about 80% of what they want in the person they choose to settle down with and marry. The person could be missing qualities like being able to cook, hating PDA, or not sharing in your music interest. Then you come across someone who loves to cook, wants the whole world to see your affection, and is an artist of all sorts. So this could easily be seen as the person you should be with, that's where most people go wrong. They don't look at the bigger picture. That person has 20% of what you're missing, that's it. The other has 80. Never leave 80 for 20."
Person 4: "I think you should never entertain the second one because you cannot fix issues in your house by going outside it. If you were happy enough at any point to believe that the first one was your soul mate you should fight for it...However if you never fully loved the first person whole heartedly then that's why the second person exists..."
Person 5: "I agree. if, you were in love with the first person you wouldn't have allowed yourself to put in enough energy to fall in love with the second one."

Person 1: "I disagree, you can definitely spend a lot of time with someone, sleep in the same bed and fall in love. Now staying in love, you need the latter for that."
Person 2: "I don't know if sleeping in the same bed was a prelude to sex specifically, but, I feel that even though sex is a very important part of a relationship, there is so much more to being in love and binding people. So I agree."
Person 3: "I somewhat agree. People fall in love for different reasons, sharing a bed and being around a person can be enough to learn to love them. It doesn't have to be because you trust each other, you can love someone and not trust them..."
Person 4: "I do believe that in due time any two people will grow to love each other. If you spend endless nights together you will end up loving them."
Person 5: "I agree you don't fall in true love just by sleeping together. And yes, I agree it has to be a similar foundation and somewhat of the same dreams."
Person 1: "Sadly, I agree. Because from my life experience, I've been in love at times with people I shouldn't have, or couldn't be romantically involved with (openly) for one reason or another. That doesn't change the fact that these people still enriched my life in an unforgettable way. One in particular, I know for sure, I wouldn't be the person I am today, had I not loved them."

Person 2: "Umm, I think I disagree with that. I feel like love is the strongest, most powerful emotion. As long as it is felt mutually, it should be fought for."

Person 3: "That plays into whether or not you believe in fate, if fate brought you two together despite the odds then fate will keep you two together. But if you stumble upon one another and fall in love, the only reason you wouldn't be together is, you two don't share the same love."

Person 4: "I don't know about this...I think it's timing. I felt I was in love many times. As I get older I question those relationships a lot. Some had to have been lust. Either that or I'm one of those crazy in love type of girls. I fall hard and fast and I hate it. I definitely wasn't meant to be with those exes. I can't believe I even thought I could. I was out of my mind."

Person 5: "That's true, just because you fell in love with them doesn't mean they are going to benefit you in other ways, it just doesn't mean that's the one you're suppose to be with, simply because you fell in love with them."
Person 1: "I completely disagree, however right after I said that, I begin to think a little more complex. I do feel I love my exes more than that of a friend (meaning exes I was in love with). However, out of respect for current/future relationships I consciously make the decision to keep those relationships platonic. If I wanted to cross the line, it is certainly there to cross."
Person 2: "I somewhat agree. I think that human nature just has an automatic assumption that something is going on if two people remain friends. More common than not, there usually is some inappropriateness going on. However, I disagree that if they were in a previous relationship, and are now friends, that they were never in love."
Person 3: "There's a saying: Friends before lovers forever, and lovers before friends never. I think it depends on the people, you can still love that person and not be in love with them anymore."

Person 4: "Two people that broke up could never be friends! Hell no. Trust me I know this for a fact. Don't fall for it."

Person 5: "I don't think they can be friends and if they are, something is still there."
Person 1: "The keyword is truly. If true love is there, two people can absolutely focus on one another. In this day and age there are so many ways to stay connected. Add with a little creativity, this can actually be pretty cool."
Person 2: " I agree. Even though distance wears on a relationship, I think its very hard, and not for the faint at heart. I also feel with love, effort, and constant communication (and tons of sexy video clips), you can make it work.

Person 3: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but too much of a good thing, really isn't a good thing."

Person 4: "Distance nor time can separate two people in love. The heart will endure and wait. It may sin and be weak in its dark moments, but love is everlasting."

Person 5: "True. If they are in true love, it won't."

**{A little about the interviewees: All were women, ranging in age from 20-40. With a very diverse relationship background.}. **
Did you agree with one person more? Have a mixture of agreements? Is your view completely different? Sound off in the comments we'd love to hear your perspective!

We Got This

I recently shared a post about mastering "we" in a marriage. Today I wanted to share with you a quick story of how my wife used the art of "we" to her advantage.

Kenya took the day off and whispered she had a surprise for me. I smiled but the wheels in my head where hard at work, cause I ain't married to a "surprise you" kind of gal. Don't worry, I took the liberty of notifying my sisters if they hadn't heard from me by days end, to come looking for me.

They of course just chuckled.

A surprise, a call in from work, and a drive to Nashville? No freaking way!  We stay about 45mins outside of the city but because of the heavy traffic she despises going in the area. I keep my composure and enjoy the ride.

We eventually pull into a car lot.  Now I'm really confused. We have two perfectly working SUVs (a Cadillac Esclade and a Nissan Armada). We also have a 3rd vehicle that we use if necessary. She motions for me to come on and we step out of the car. A gentleman immediately drives up in a black on black Mercedes Benz (scream!) and hands my wife the keys "Here's your car."

What the heck?!

"Baby, I thought we could get something comfortable for our trips to Virginia and for us to drive around in when just you and I go out."

 Say Whaaaaaaaa... Aye, ok, ok!

My first reaction: pure excitement.  My next thought: we soooo don't need this. But she's had this twinkle in her eye that melts me instantly (that and the fact I have a huge crush on black on black cars). I could sense she really wanted this.  I asked a few questions, the paperwork was signed and just like that we were off.

Who drove the Mercedes home from the lot?

Her.

 WE got a new car.

How To Write A Love Letter: 7 Helpful Tips

Hand written letters. One of life's most beautiful sentiments of love, friendship and personalized  communication. In today's generation it's also one of life's rarities. Now I may be old fashioned, but there is something so magical about receiving a tangible piece, filled with words from the heart, expressed in a tone only the author could create...a custom work of art.

I grew up in an era where hand written letters where a thing. Often swapping them with my best friend and boyfriend in between classes. I kept them all. Today those letters have a new meaning. Sadly, I've lost both my best friend and my 1st love. Their letters are all I have to bring a sense of comfort when my heart is missing them. My 1st love was also my eldest daughter's father, so the letters will serve as a keepsake for many years to come.

With Valentine's Day approaching, I thought it would be romantic to write my wife a hand written love letter. If you want to do the same for your loved one here's a few tips to get you started.

7 tips to master the perfect love letter.

First things first...
Find a place free of distractions. Relax, grab a glass of wine or a hot beverage and gather your thoughts. If music amplifies your mood go ahead and put on some slow jams (like THIS or THIS) and reflect on the times you've spent together. Let your memories lead the way. Focus on why you fell in love, the value he/she brings to your life, and of course the eye candy (physical features) they have. It can be helpful to jot down your thoughts (in simple form) as they come to mind.

If you're going for the true love letter experience, grab a notebook and pen. If you prefer, you can use your electronic device for this part, it's gonna be your rough draft. Either way don't stress about grammar and other technicalities right now.

Tips:
1. Write in your own voice: This letter is from YOU. That being said use words and phrases that reflect the true you. Don't feel pressured to sound like Shakespeare in a letter, if you sound like  Mike Tyson in person (No shade, I promise).

2. Omit the guess work: From the jump, let your loved one know why you're writing. "I don't get to tell you often enough how much you mean to me".

3. Up close and personal: Share specific encounters and/or tiny details relevant to the one you love. For instance, one of my wife's quirks is she walks around with her with untied shoelaces and drags her feet. The shoe lace part use to drive me batty, but now it's actually one of my favorite quirks of hers, because well, it makes her her. So don't forget to mention the little things, seriously spend some time on this, it's pretty important.

4. Wear your heart on your sleeve: Meaning be vulnerable. Really dig down deep and let your feelings show. If you drop a few thug tears in the process, its all good. I won't tell.

5. Say What?: Say what you have to say in your letter. Rather that's a few sentences or a few pages, it doesn't matter.

6. PPF: Past, Present Future. Talk about when you met or first saw him/her, mention day to day things (you put a smile on my face every morning), and include future things such as starting a family, buying a house together, or traveling the world.

7. The Reese's Rule: There's no wrong way to eat a Reese's. Equally, there's no wrong way to write a love letter. So don't be afraid to be creative, if you get stomped, share a quote or a line from a song that reminds you of them.

The Real Deal
Now that you have your rough draft step away for a minutes. To give your mind a break (eat a KitKat?). When you come back, read your letter (if no one is around reading aloud can be beneficial). Make the necessary corrections. Now it's time to rewrite your letter.

If you want to be fancy smancy here's some paper you can print. Get the Rose set HERE or the Champagne set HERE.

Date your paper (in the top right corner) with the month, day and year. Pick a sweet greeting to open your letter with such as: "Hey baby", "Hello beautiful", "Dear beloved".

From this point copy the remainder of your letter onto the paper.

Close your letter with a romantic sign off such as: "XOXO", "Forever Yours", "Love Always" or something to that nature. Sign your name and your writing is done.

Now comes the fun part. Add a special touch to your letter. Some ideas could be to spritz it with perfume/cologne, add a lipstick kiss, sneak in a photo, or even think outside the box and add something meaningful to you two as a couple.

The presentation

You can place your letter in an envelope, roll it into a scroll or wrap it and add it to a gift.

Marriage: The art of "We"

"We". It can be one of the most challenging expressions to implement in a marriage, all while attempting to relieve "I, me, and mine" from their prenuptial duties.

As individuals we are taught to think, do, and choose what's in our personal best interest.  To be independent, to have a mind of our own. Sounds pretty accurate, right? But, what about in a marriage?

Now, by no means, am I proposing you give up who you are, but instead I'm suggesting that relationships may be more enjoyable when you begin to identify as a team. You know kind of like Sponge Bob and Patrick, mermaids and sailors, rum and coke...that kind of thing.

Though I don't claim to be an expert in marriage, life experiences have shown that of the countless couples I have met, there tends to be more difficulties in the relationships that have not mastered the  art of "we".

A lot of times this can be in new relationships, but certainly not always. In fact, a couple that instantly came to mind have been married, a hell of a lot longer than I have (about 4 decades longer). That being said, this may not make or break marriages, but it certainly effects the quality of marriage.

What exactly is the "art of we"?

Well, I like to call it an art because it does take a bit of creative thinking and expression in order to tackle this skill. Simply put it just means working together as a team. Using terms like "we, our, us" versus "me, hers, mine". It doesn't stop there, to be frank its more of a lifestyle change. When your spouse has an issue (we have an issue). When there is a problem between the two of you, you attack the problem, not each other.

For example, you and your partner head out for an evening of shopping. When you return to your car, it is nowhere to be found. "We" couples will work together, one calling and filing the police report, the other reserving a rental car. Because this is an issue that happened to "them".

Take the same scenario: "I" couples begin to point fingers. "I told you, you should've locked the door." I don't know why you parked here, you should've parked where the area was lit." One of them is now upset, and the other is confused and left to feel it's their personal burden. Nothing is getting quickly resolved.

So how do you begin to implement this art?
Well, first I'd like to mention it takes patience, understanding, practice and did I mention patience?!

A good way to start would be to focus on the reasons you became a couple. Are you both into sports? Maybe have similar work interest? Enjoy the same hobbies? These things allow you to get thinking as a team.

Get each others opinions "Babe do you like the green or the blue shirt better?"

As you talk to friends make a mental note to use plural pronouns. "We just bought a new refrigerator".

Remember there's no I in team, but there's a "we" in wed.

Do you think this can effect a marriage? Why or why not? Sound off in the comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Unhappily Married

Seriously. For quite some time in the early part of my marriage, I felt like my wife didn't love me. I couldn't comprehend what the disconnect was.  I would try to bring a little romance and set up some time where we could take a few moments from the kids and go for a walk and watch the sunset, or I'd try to pull her close and hold her, several times throughout the day, so she'd understand how much she means to me. She didn't seem interested. In fact it didn't have much of an impact at all.

Was my marriage in trouble? There had been no infidelity on either part.  We got along most of the time. But for some reason, I just couldn't shake the fact I felt so unloved.

Kenya would come home from work with flowers. Which was a sweet gesture, but where was the hug or kiss to accompany it? I'm not much of a flower kind of girl... I remember one weekend she  washed and cleaned out my car. She smiled, I thanked her, and instantly thought to myself "Did it look that bad?"
I associated her cleaning my car as an implication that she felt my car was dirty.

One night in bed, I opened up about the way I was feeling. I explained to her how I needed more affection and that we didn't seem to spend ANY time together. She confusedly responded "Kris, I kiss you EVERY day, all I do is go to work and come home. We're ALWAYS together."

She was right. Was I just being unreasonable? We continued our conversation back and forth until I blurted it out "Kenya, I don't think you love me! I just feel so unloved!"

 "So do I!"

Wait what?! Did she really just say that?
I've been putting my all into this relationship, I've been consistently showing romantic gestures, I've been overly affectionate. What the hell did she mean?!

What I discovered is we weren't speaking each others love language. Have you heard about the 5 love languages? It's a book by Dr. Gary Chapman that explains the different ways that individuals express their love.

It finally all made sense! Kenya and I had different love languages. After reading the manuscript and also taking the quiz (you can find here) I discovered that my primary love language is quality time, with physical touch being a close second.

What does this mean? Well, it means that I interpret love through time spent together such as focused conversations, eye contact, and someone actively listening. Through activities done together like taking walks, or sharing a hobby.
Also through physical touch such as cuddling, hugging and kissing.

Kenya's primary love language is acts of service, with giving gifts being an extremely close second. This meant she interprets love by easing the burden of responsibility on others, such as doing the dishes or cleaning out the car. She also appreciated tangible symbols (gifts) as a form of love and appreciation.

Dr. Chapman is a genius. In fact, I credit him with saving my marriage. The truth is Kenya and I love each other dearly. In fact we were expressing our love to each other every single day! The issue was we were expressing it in the way that we interpret it.

Think of it like this, if I spoke French and Kenya spoke Spanish, I could talk to her in French and tell her I love her a 1,000 times a day, but if she only speaks Spanish, she won't understand what I'm saying to her. The key would be for us to learn each others, language (or love language) in order for us to understand one another.

It makes perfect sense to me.  I encourage you (if you haven't already) to read this life changing book. It has impacted my life so much, that I give this as a gift at every wedding I attend (which reminds me, I need to pick up a copy for my daughter).

Today, I've learned to do things for Kenya, such as iron her shirts that are wrinkled, or perhaps do a task for her I know she hates.
Has it been easy? No.  It's a learning experience because it doesn't come natural to do certain things, that I don't personally interpret as truly meaningful. But the fact that I know she does, is what motivates me to keep going.

I fall short sometimes, I'll admit. And she does as well. But we understand each other much better than we previously did. I've learned not to take things personally. I know that I love her and she loves me.

Marriage isn't a perfect thing, just two imperfect people trying to get it right.

The Married Life

Wednesday was our 9th wedding anniversary! Time sure does fly. Kenya had to work, but we did make time to exchange a few small sentiments and go out to dinner. When we got home, our eldest daughter, Lori (Lana) called to wish us a Happy Anniversary... and drop a bomb.
She's getting married next weekend. Screeeeeech....Stop the press!

That was a bit jaw dropping, definitely unexpected, but what can we do? I took a moment to confirm  she's sure, express that marriage isn't for the faint at heart, and finally offer our well wishes. She and her fiance are having a simple ceremony by the lake, they plan to host a reception for family and friends soon.

Although I was a bit taken aback by the announcement, I am happy for them. Marriage truly can be a blessing. I've always taught my children to follow their heart. I've never been one to let others finalize my decisions. Reach out for guidance, yes, but I believe in being responsible for your own happiness. If you make a mistake, and you will, you learn from it and keep moving forward. The truth is if I lived for other people's happiness, I wouldn't have the amazing wife and children I have today.

Now, back to the reason for this post. As I mentioned marriage is a blessing but that doesn't mean it comes easy. After being in a union for nearly a decade, I've gained a pretty good insight into what it takes to sustain a marriage.

That being said, I've decided to start sharing a few tips that have proven successful for my marriage.  If you're not yet married, but in a serious relationship, it's never to early to start implementing healthy practices. Look for these helpful tips on Monday mornings.

Forbidden Love Playlist

We've all been there...Sometimes it be's like that...

Break Up Playlist

Today I'm sharing some of the best go to break up songs. There's two list, because well frankly, there's two sides to a break. The time when you need a good cry, and the time when you're sick of crying.

8 Perks of a Lesbian Relationship

Perks. They're found in any relationship. I don't deny that for a second. As a woman who has been in both straight and lesbian relationships I've realized there are quite a few perks that are girl to girl specific. I thought it'd be fun to list a few of them.

Double Wardrobe
This one is at the top of the list for a reason. There's nothing worse than running late, and on top of it, feeling like you have nothing to put on! More often than not, you can fumble through the next closet and have several more options right in front of you.

Periods
It's always nice being in a relationship where moodiness, cravings and cramps are understood. And your tampon supply is doubled. I know I"m not the only one out there that can appreciate that!

Girls Only Invites
Baby showers, Tasteful treasures parties, you name it. I love being able to have my partner attend events like this with me.

No Pregnancy Scares
Ever. No birth control ever.

Personal Stylist
My wife has dreads. She didn't have to go to a shop to start them, nor does she have to go to one to maintain them, because I did and do that for her. I'm not a hairstylist by any means, but some things aren't that difficult.  And when I need a  good flat iron or my eyebrows tended to, I know she's got me free of charge.

No Gender Roles
If the dishes need washing, wash them. If the oil needs changing go handle that.. If the kids need anything whoever is available gets it done. No (even if subconscious) male/female roles. Not even in the bedroom.

Toilet See Stays Down
Come on I know you've been there, you head to the bathroom sleepy in the middle of the night and oops! Yeah..I've had my share of wet ass.

Dressing room and Bathroom Check In
Sometimes I try on things and I hate having to leave the dressing room to get someone's opinion.  Now I just pull my wife in there with me and no one thinks anything of it. Bathroom trips are the same...whatever happens in the bathroom, stays in the bathroom (wink).

Roll With It
“I was so surprised when you were surprised that I said I would marry you! I love you so much, and why wouldn’t I want to be your wife? I mean sure there have been some WAY unconventional things that have “happened” during the course of our relationship, but uhm….we roll with the punches, right?”
Questioning It All
"I just have so many emotions running through my mind, my heart, my entire body and I don’t know what to do with them. How do you feel? Like sometimes it seems like you’re just in “whatever” mode, like it’s whatever, and nothing bothers you. I mean do you have worries? Do you have fears? Do you have doubts?"

Love Sick
“The words you said felt like someone pulling a trigger point blank range into my heart. I loved you and I loved you HARD. With my mind, my body and my soul.
Bre, I never in a million years would have thought you would betray me to this level. You slept with him in the bed we make love in, how did it feel? You knew how I already felt about him, and you could let someone like this inside you? You could let him touch you? That shit sickens me.
I have done some fucked up things, but never ever ever like this, I could never imagine hurting you to this extinct. I hope your decision was worth it.....fucking sickening.”
My Only Fear
"The only thing in this world that I fear is losing you teddy bear, I love you soo much and you’re a blessing in my life….I see so much good in you and I want you to take all your strength and put it into making our life purposeful and I will do the same.”
Unbreakable
“I know u and I share a love that's unbreakable...kinda like that Alisha Keys song. I miss you and I miss us listening to slow jams holding each other, dancing in your room. Those little moments mean so much to me. I remember one night when I cried while we were doing that...simply out of love. You bring out emotions in me I have never felt with anyone, and I doubt I will ever feel again...I love you so much and can't wait to kiss you.”

  Maybe
“I know that this entire situation is just a ton of "what if's" and "maybe's" . You don't know what it is, therefore you can't give me any assurances. But I know that because I feel about and love you the way I do…I can NOT just walk away. I can NOT turn back on this or you, because doing so would be signifying me condemning myself to an entire life of "WHAT IF" or "WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN".
So instead I decide to stick around (as long as you will keep me), stick it out, and see where this path leads me. I owe it to myself. And if in the process I get hurt and get my heart broken then so- be- it… I'd rather have to pick myself up and piece me back together than to be a quitter and possibly miss out on the chance of a lifetime…being you wife.”
Bad Idea
“Damn, we fell off badly. It's crazy how I haven't heard your voice in so long. I apologize for not calling, but you said if I didn't, you would. I decided to test you. Bad idea...BUT the main point of me writing this was too say I miss you. I hope your doing okay. I just couldn't go another day with out trying to talk to you.”

How did this make you feel? Leave a comment and let me know!

Written in the Raw:Volume I

*Names have been changed to maintain privacy.

Love comes in many forms. It exists between partners, parents, children, siblings, and friends. Each being as unique as the persons involved.

To start the countdown to Valentine's Day, I am sharing with you a few excerpts from real love letters I've collected from men and women over the years.

Some of these passages contain happiness, others guilt or heartbreak; but all express true raw emotion to the person that they love.

Magnetic
“You know I have this pull…….and I mean FULL FORCE pull inside me that I fight every single day. It’s like I’m metal, and you’re a magnet. I want to be with you sooo bad…”

Under Construction
“It's funny you are knocking walls down as I'm trying to build them. I don't want to let anyone in. You can come over to visit but you can't go in my secret rooms, I'm building an indestructible fortress around those 4 chambers.”

Now or Never
“Sometimes I fill this fear that I'm constantly trying to bury that tells me that you don't now nor will you ever love me the way I love you.”

A Father's Need
“Alright my beautiful daughters I've called you 2 and if I knew Shelly's number it would b 3. I've texted u both to no avail. I know I ain't done right by y'all but I do love y'all and I need y'all in my life.

Ure probably saying fuck u old man u weren't there for us and I don’t blame u, but I'm askin and praying for forgiveness. I'd like to get to know y'all and my grand kids. I love u girls with all I am. I always have, but I'm an addict.

I can't say was because once u are, u always are, but u can lock it away and don’t feed it and it will loose its strength and shrivel up. It won't ever die, but eventually, to keep from dieing, it will find another food source.

I've found that mine likes love and god and family happiness peace and tranquility. I'm almost to a point where I can feed it 3 squares a day all I'm missing is family a couple of the others come with family will y'all help me?

I'd consider it an honor, the highest honor a man could assert on this earth. It took me a long time to write this... kept getting teared up and couldn’t see. I hope u understand what I'm trying to say. I love y'all. Good night, sleep with angels on ure pillow.”

 Emotional Rollercoaster
“Sorry if I upset you today with my tears. I was just a little emotional from the pregnancy I guess. So many different changes for my body and the stress that’s all. Kind of stressed I've been in pain. Just need some relaxation and a clear mind. But most of all I need you and your support…Suffering from hemorrhoid and heart burn.”
Insecurities
“Sooooo, as far as my anxieties go….
I’m just afraid that I won’t be good enough. I’m afraid that I’m not pretty enough for you. Or sexy enough for you. Or interesting enough to hold onto your attention. I’m afraid that you won’t like my body. {{{I’m afraid that you’ll get bored and “wonder”.}}} I’m scared that once we introduce “outsiders” into our relationship you’ll change, and not “like” or want to be with me anymore. I’m SO scared that I’ll fail you in some way, and I think that’s because I want to be SO much for you, I want to be everything you want and more…I want to exceed any and all expectations you have {don’t get me wrong, I TOTALLY realize how I’m in a sense maybe setting myself up for failure…I know I’m not perfect}. I’m scared. I’m scared. I’m just scared.”
Lightening Speed
“Ok…see it's like this. When we first started "talking" or whatever we both expected this to be a casual short-lived relationship. At least I DID. But then before I knew it I fell for you (Hard and Fast). Suddenly I couldn't see my future (life) with anyone else…even a simple thought, a thought of having the life I wanted-dreamed of- with anyone besides you was frightening; unbearable, damn near impossible, and honestly it literally makes me sick to my stomach. That's right physically sickening. Simply terrifying.”
