5x7 Mermaid Printables

Happy Saturday my fellow Mers! I'm having one of those days where I'm craving the salty smell and the mellowing breezes of the sea. That's one of the things I miss most about my home town.

Well I can't get out and filter the sand through my toes here in Tennessee, but I can have fun creating word art.  If you have a soft spot for all things beach inspired here are a fun 5x7 printables to enjoy!

I put them all on individual pages so you can just print the ones you want (just select and print the page number).

Sending tons mermaid kisses and starfish wishes!

Siren Perfume

Perfume:Siren 3.4oz bottle
By: Paris Hilton
Scent: Sweet scent with hints of floral, fruit, vanilla, and citrus.
Found it at: Ross Department Store
Price at time of purchase: $9.99
Also spotted at Target
Price Range: $9.99-$17.99

I ran across this treasure while shopping in Ross. The package had a attractive gold mermaid on the front which of course instantly drew my attention. There is no tester station in this particular store so I would be taking a huge leap of faith if I purchased it, but considering that I've purchased Paris Hilton perfumes before with little regret, it would all come down to price. I flipped the package and saw that it was reasonably priced...sold! Worse case scenario I'd end up giving it too my daughter.

It was a keeper!

Mermaid Heels

My daughter, who as you may know is currently in Kentucky for school, sent an image to my phone that made me literally stop in my tracks! She happened to be out shopping and ran across these bad ass pumps. When I tell you my jaw literally dropped! I mean, I honestly thought they were the most amazing thing I'd ever seen in life. I texted her back with a ton of  heart and fish emojis accompanied with an "OMG where the heck are you?!"

 "Rue21".

I slid into the flipflops resting at the door, said a silent prayer in hopes the store here in Tennessee carried them and jumped in the car on the 35min ride to this place of business (and my scaly treasure).

Upon entering, I noticed an associate near the front. She became my map and new exactly where the "X" marked the spot. We rounded the corner, and there they were beautifully glistening from the back wall. The only thing that stood between these shoes and my feet now was the size. I quickly thanked the help, said another prayer and walked over to investigate further. Size 8. Yesssssssssss!!!!! And they're on sale!!

If their is a mermaid heaven, I"m pretty sure its right here in this place.

Now if only I can only learn to walk in heels....

**Just a heads up if you love these as much as I do, you may want to make a trip into the store as well, I could not find them on online.**

Pearl Oysters

Ok, so I don't judge me, but I have a huge obsession with sea life, in fact I often tell my children, I am indeed, a real mermaid. I know, I know (insert side eye here). Anyway, for Christmas, I purchased all of the girls (my 3 daughters and 5 nieces) a pearl oyster, along with a pearl cage necklace.

I thought these were one of the coolest gifts ever (hint, hint: Valentine's Day is coming up).  Not only because they were beautiful and I believe every girl should own real pearls in her lifetime, but my teacher brain kicked in thinking about all the science and learning experiences this gift has to offer!

Here's what they look like:

They arrive in an easy to open pop top can, along with a sheet that reveals what each pearl symbolizes. Also included, is a small tool to help crack open the shell.
This is what the oyster shell looks like. It is based in a small amount of alcohol to mask any sea smell that once existed.

After prying open the shell, this is what the pearl looks like inside.

Here is an even closer look.

 Isn't it beautifully interesting?

Here's a shot of the pearl alone. Mine was a gorgeous warm pink tone. I love that it wasn't a perfect circle. It gives such an organic feel.

What are some unique gifts you've gotten or come across? Leave a comment and let me know, I'd love to hear!
